- Prenatal yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done during pregnancy. It is a more contemporary style of yoga. The traditional aspects of a yoga practice have been adapted for pregnant women.
- Traditional yoga is often designed to fire up the digestive system and create heat in the body. Those more vigorous stretching and breathing exercises and not appropriate for pregnant women. Due to the stress of growing a baby inside the body, pregnancy requires less abdominal stimulation and less elevated heart rates.
