Being a zero waste business is not an overnight phenomenon, but it’s also not an all-or-nothing game. Sometimes, figuring out how to take the first step is just as important as the end goal. Join SBN and the City’s Zero Waste Partnership Program to hear about easy wins and lessons learned from participating Zero Waste Partners. This a collaborative program in partnership with the Reading Terminal Market, aimed at supporting their goals to be thought and action leaders in sustainable practices. We’ll cover multiple perspectives from manufacturing, food & beverage, and hospitality to help inform the many ways you can reduce your waste footprint.
Participate in thought provoking conversation at one of America’s largest and oldest public markets, housed since 1893 in a National Historic Landmark building. Enjoy old-school bagels from Spataro’s and pastries from The Market Bakery. We will be offering vegan bagels with vegan lox from Luhv Vegan deli, and vegan cookies Flying Monkey Bakery. Iovine Brothers’ produce will be providing a fruit spread, and Olde City Coffee will be offering hot coffee -- don't forget your reusable mug! Before leaving be sure to support the local vendors that make this market, and city, so unique.
