Port Huron Float Down 2018 - need experienced co-hosts for this event!

1000s of people each year float from the Blue Water Bridge to Marysville, Mi in this fun filled day! Life vest must be worn for this meetup event. Participate at your own risk. Please drink and drive responsibly. Recommended: have your enhanced license or passport in case of accidentally floating to Canada! This event is heavily patrolled by law enforcement, but is not a sanctioned event. They make their presence known by checking on the rafters from time to time, but are not there all the time.
What to bring: Life vest and raft. If you bring a large raft for a large group, you will need a pair of kayakers with kayaks in front to pull and control the raft; water, snacks, sun block, sun glasses that float, cell phone in waterproof container or doubled plastic ziplock bags - same for drivers license and snacks. We can organize so that a vehicle is on each end because we'll have to drive back to the starting drop off point. More details to come....

This meetup is subject to weather conditions. Please check this posting at least 1 hour before driving to this event. If winds are predicted to blow from the West to the East, it is not fun to have to fight drifting into Canada. Attend this event at your own risk.
