In The Meantime is excited to introduce a new program, which we believe will have a profound effect on participants, parents and the community at large.

In The Meantime is partnering with Never Alone Again Resource Center to provide the POP (Prevention, Opportunity & Preparation) program. The POP program empowers young people to make positive, effective, and responsible choices by introducing and reinforcing the 7 Habits, a set of leadership and life skills from Sean Covey’s book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and The Overcoming Obstacles life skills curriculum.

Starting June 24th, 2019, we will offer the program to all Northern New Jersey residents as an introduction to personal leadership. POP provides participants with activities that will help them learn practical character and life skills that will lead to those positive choices. Written to appeal to their age level, participants are presented with fun activities designed to get them thinking.

Once registered, participants will embark on an exciting journey and our hope is that they return home to re-teach the content to parents/guardians giving him/her an even deeper understanding and an opportunity to learn together!

When taught and practiced in a neutral environment, these 7 habits have been proven to improve academic engagement, comprehension, and performance by strengthening individual work habits and improving social interactions. They help improve participants performance and support school success by helping to foster the qualities of:

Independence: Goal-setting, Organization, Time Management & Planning
Interdependence: Teamwork, Conflict Resolution, Creativity & Analytical Skills
Renewal: Fun, Good health & Hygiene

In The Meantime has made the commitment to model and implement the Pop program in order to provide a caring and nurturing learning environment for our participants. Teaching and developing leaders is what we do!

We look forward to working with all stakeholders in providing a program that maintains the dignity of our youth through productive interactions while fostering positive relationships with parents and other community members.
