Urban sketchers use simple portable tools and the power of direct observation to document their world, describe their experiences, capture city scenes, architecture, characters, and events in their sketchbooks. Standing on the cross-section of art, architecture, and journalism urban sketching is a great tool to becoming a keen observer. For a designer, illustrator or an architect sketching from real life can prove to be an infinite source of learning, creativity, and inspiration.
