New play readings provide the unique opportunity to hear a new script in development for a future season, and to engage in conversation that provides vital feedbcak to our artistic team. Through a series new play readings each season, we will engage the community in conversations about the work and the process of creation while also providing additional training and performance opportunities for youth and adult actors, writers and directors. New play readings take place at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, and admission is free.

ANDROMEDA SCHENKELBERGER AND THE TRIALS OF HERCULES
A world premiere play by Joe Foust and John Maclay

Her father has gone missing and 14-year-old Andromeda (she actually prefers Andy) is trying to find answers – to who she is, who she will become, how to take care of her grandmother, but mostly what happened to her Mythology professor father? Suddenly she finds herself embarking on the adventure of a lifetime where all things become clear. From the writing team that brought you the rollicking adventure Robin Hood comes another instant classic filled with mischief, mayhem, fighting, fury and just pure fun.
