Planning & Zoning Fundamentals: A Partnership with Dickinson Wright

Join municipal lawyer, Ron Bultje of Dickinson Wright, on Tuesday April 9, 2019  for an infomational training entitled "The Essentials of Being a ZBA Member." This training will cover the basics and advanced materials on Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBAs). During this training, the introductory session from 6:00-6:30 will cover general zoning terms, basics of a zoning ordinance, Freedom of Information Act, Open Meetings Act, public hearings, and much more. 

From 6:30-8:30, in-depth information will be provided on the best practices of a ZBA, variances, interpreting a zoning ordinance, appeals, a Q&A with Ron, and more.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The training will be held at the Ottawa County Fillmore Street Complex in West Olive, Michigan. Parking will be available outside the building. 

What can I bring into the event?

Bring a pen and paper to the training.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No printed ticket needed.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, but please have the registrant list all the first names, last names, and organization of each person who attends. One person may register for multiple people as long as seats are still available.
