Planning Section Chief Training

ANMC is hosting Planning Section Chief Training for Healthcare in conjunction with Parachute Consulting, LLC.

This course is an instructor led training and will provide students with knowledge of the roles and responsibilities associated with the Planning Section Chief in order to effectively assume the role of Planning Section Chief within the HICS structure.

Training Structure:

Day 1: Didactic. 8:00am - 4:30pm, classroom training with power point presentations.

Day 2: Practical exercises. 8:00am - 12:00pm, (2) tabletop exercises, 1 coordinated response drill.

Learning Objectives:

• Roles and reponsibilities
• Review of forms (IAP, ICS 201, 209)
• Development of the IAP
• Managing the Planning Section (support staff)
• Incorporating contingency plans into the planning process
• Interactions with staff and other positions in the HICS
• Coordination and facilitation of planning meetings

Pre-Requisites:

Knowledge of Incident Command preferred (IS-100 and IS-200) but not required.

Target Audience:

Emergency Managers, responders designated to fill the Planning Section Chief position
