Like many other large cities in America, Saint Paul saw a massive boom in building during the 1880s. The great Gilded Age had a huge influence on the city and its architecture. High Victorian Saint Paul was a sight to behold, with its beautiful buildings designed to please the eyes of those who gazed upon their ornate facades. Unfortunately, with the passage of time we have lost so many of our finest structures. Despite many of them being built to last an eternity, they fell victim to circumstances which swept away large parts of this nation's cities. Please join historian Christopher Keith for a lunch time talk at Waldmann Brewery & Wurstery to learn about some of Saint Paul's lost Victorian buildings, as well as their architects and owners. Great food and drink coupled with fascinating history - what a winning combination! Registration is required. Seating is limited, so please register early. Programs generally sell out quickly.
