PICKLING & CANNING with Happy Girl Kitchen

Preserved is teaming up with our friends at Happy Girl Kitchen, where pickling in vinegar is one of their favorite ways to preserve. This workshop will begin with an introductory talk and tasting and extend into sharing secrets on how to get the right texture and flavor in your pickles. All of the recipes are simple and delicious and we will teach you how to preserve them safely. We will cover topics of PH and botulism and flavor combinations. Then, together as a class we will experiment with making a tasty batch of quick pickled veggies, and a second batch of pickled vegetables that we will process by water bath canning. Everyone will take 2 jars home!
