PI Lounge Swing & Blues, Dance to Live Music & Judy Parrone's Birthday Party***

****** Every 2nd Tuesday of the Month is a special dance get together at PI's Lounge ******

We meet there every Tuesday evening starting around 9:00 pm going until midnight with the band taking a couple of breaks during the evening. No cover charge, drinks and bar food available. Practice some of those dance moves you have learned in class and feel free to ask more advanced dancers for help and advice.

It’s a blues and swing jam session with many of Rochester's great musicians providing great dance music. Dancers and musicians arrive and leave at different times through out the night so the crowd and music can be constantly changing. Great place to dance swing/blues or just sit and enjoy the great live music. If you are taking any level of dance lesson this is a great venue to practice what you have learned.

Its a friendly mixed crowd and most of the time it's busy enough with dancers that no dance partner is needed.

**** NOTE: About once a month we celebrate one of the regular dancers birthday, this bring out a large crowd of other dancers that don't normally make it to PI's, which is a shame because the music and dance are there with or without a birthday celebration. If you like larger dance crowds, look for a birthday announcement in the title of this weekly meetup event.

Location is PI's Lounge, 495 West Avenue, corner of Gardner Ave in the city, onsite parking is off Gardner Ave or park in the Tops Market lot across the street. Enter PI's Lounge using their back entrance, from the Gardner Ave parking lot. The rear building entrance is a bit hidden but its worth the effort once you hear the great music.

Dancers are of all ability's and ages, but most are age 40 and up with at least some east coast swing experience, and we also encourage younger swing dancers to try this venue. Owner has a sign on the door that lists an age requirement of 25 years or older ,but in talking to him, he said to ignore it because well behaved patrons of 21 or older are very welcome, especially dancers.
