Phoenix: March 2020 Hike and Brunch

A nice and easy hike in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve

NEW HIKING POLICY

As we move into the new year I wanted to update our hiking policy.

° We hike together. We start together and finish together.

° If there is an injury, or a need to stop, we stop together.

° We will start at the designated time

° No trailblazing (going off trail)

° Leave no trace https://lnt.org/why/7-principles/

° Familiarize yourself with the trail we are about to hike. Google it, read reviews, understand the distance and elevation.

THIS HIKE

We will meander through the Phoenix Mountain Preserve mostly along the 100 trail but will take a few detours. This is a great one for those wanting to get back into hiking or for those who want a good introduction to our group hikes.

This isn't entirely flat but the hills are manageable.

There are bathrooms and water at the trailhead.

WHAT TO BRING:

Wear good/comfortable shoes

Plenty of water

Walking sticks if you use them

Hat/Sunglasses
