E.G. Phillips is a San Francisco based songwriter who creates lyric driven songs with his own special blend of whimsy and cinematic imagery which he uses to give a wry take on dealing with the longings of the heart and the madness of existence. In possession of a degree in Geography, he comes from a country called the Midwest and his favorites include Bob Dylan and the Kinks as well as Duke Ellington… and that crowd (a touch of Tom Lehrer is also in the mix).

"Ducks With Pants" is the name of his so-called fake (and sometimes real) band.

Phillips has been the "Songwriter-in-Residence" at Bazaar Cafe (September 2015 and April 2017) and a featured performer at San Francisco venues such as The Hotel Utah, The Lost Church, Neck of the Woods, PianoFight, and Cafe International. Across the bay he’s played at The Octopus Literary Salon and The Monkey House. Phillips plays weekly at the Hotel Carlton as a part of “Local Vocals” and was featured in the first Balanced BreakFEST showcase in September 2018 at Revolution Cafe.

E.G. is releasing a new album entitled "At Home At Sea"

* * * Twinly * * *
A singer-songwriter residing in the East Bay, Twinly is a storyteller at heart. Her songs explore her darkest feelings and strangest experiences, such as what she describes as “pillow fights” with mental illness as well as her bouts of homelessness — one which led to her meeting Michael Stipe and Bradford Cox in a bar in Athens, Georgia (they discussed Stipe’s collection of scarves while Cox searched for a used car).

Raised a bluegrass fiddler, Twinly blends an old folk music feel into her sound, drawing inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Jewel, and First Aid Kit. She’s also heavily influenced by David Byrne as well as early 90s indie rock bands such as Neutral Milk Hotel and of Montreal (both of which she alludes to from time to time). She is most at home with just her words and a guitar, but loves when she has a chance to perform on piano, as she was pretty much born with her fingers on the keys.

After a recent hiatus filled with wandering, Twinly made her return to performing on the East Bay songwriter scene in December at Kaleidoscope Coffee in Richmond and has started back on her regular circuit at venues like The Fireside Lounge in Alameda, The Bistro in Hayward, and The Oakland Octopus. Armed with a music business degree and the enthusiasm of being a self-professed “non-profit arts organization groupie”, one of Twinly’s goals is to help independent and underprivileged artists become sustainable. She is a buddhist, a yoga practitioner, and owns over 50 pairs of Halloween socks.

She plans to release her first EP in late 2019.
