Performance Management Training: For Employees (Law Center)

The Department of Human Resources is committed to ensuring Performance Management processes that foster an environment in which managers and employees can regularly communicate about departmental and individual goals in support of creating a culture of engagement, accountability, and excellence.

Georgetown’s Annual Performance Review process begins March 2, 2020 for the period March 1, 2019 through February 29, 2020. The Department of Human Resources will conduct a number of training sessions for both Managers and Administrative Employees, which provides an overview of the performance evaluation process and timelines and outlines Manager and Employee responsibilities for successfully completing performance evaluations to include: reviewing competencies, assigning ratings, providing effective feedback and setting goals. The process begins with a self-evaluation employees must complete which will be available beginning March 2, 2020.

Led by an HR professional, this training session is targeted towards Administrative employees with an emphasis on your role in the process, starting with the self-evaluation, and will be approximately one hour and 15 minutes. It will be followed by an optional supplemental training which will review the GMS process of inputting goals, rating employees, and submitting the content for review.
