This course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving pediatrics and infants—including physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other allied health professionals in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units. This course covers a wide variety of pediatric emergencies, including how to recognize and treat respiratory emergencies, cardiac emergencies, and shock-related emergencies. Students will utilize interactive learning stations for the practice of essential skills, such as EKG recognition and treatment, airway management, IV therapy, and pharmacology.
