PEA Construction Tour: Riverwalk

Join PEA for a hard-hat tour of Riverwalk: a mixed-use development along the eastern shore of the Schuylkill River designed by Gensler for PMC Property Group. Two towers on a shared podium create 723 rental units and 65,000sf of ground floor supporting retail including a 60,000sf Giant Grocery store. Set on a challenging site with floodplain, SEPTA and easements, the massing and towers are designed to maximize sunlight to open spaces between and around the towers while maximizing views along the river to Center City. The tower facades are a play on the shimmering effect of light on the river, changing in visual character throughout the day. The first tower, standing at 28 stories, opened earlier this year while the second tower of 32 stories, and the focus of the construction tour, is estimated to be completed in 2022. 

Registration is limited to 25 participants and is required. All participants are required to close-toed shoes and bring a hard hat. The tour will follow all city and site COVID protocols, and more information regarding masking will be provided the week of the tour. Safety vests and safety glasses are optional.

The meeting location will be at corner of N 23rd Street and Arch Street (60 N 23rd St).
