The Newark, New Jersey PCOS walk is presented by PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association, the leading PCOS support and advocacy organization, which serves over 50,000 members.

Proceeds from the PCOS 5K event will go toward PCOS education and support programs, research, health screenings, grants as well as increasing awareness and public support for those with PCOS.

Polycystic ovary syndrome affects up to 15% of women in the U.S. and hundreds of millions globally. It is one of the most critical, under-diagnosed, underfunded and neglected areas of health, which can lead to lifelong complications, infertility, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
