Parents "Growth" Shop at Transitions Delaware

This educational workshop will be a space for parents of trans* kids to grow and learn some new skills. It is a chance to talk to one another, apply new learnings, and improve family functioning. This group will run for 6 weeks and focuses on a specific topic in each session. You will learn from one another as well as gain resources and skills from the facilitator. The topics and their dates are as follows: 

March 4: Boundary Setting 

April 1: Disclosure of Gender to friends and family 

May 6 : Medical Transition Decision Making 

June 3: Dating 

July 1: Identities/Labels 

Aug 5: Advocating In The School Environment 

There is a limit of 12 people per session. Each session will provide light refreshments. Childcare will not be provided. 

*  Trans* can mean transgender, nonbinary trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, gender non conforming, gender expansive and other identities.
