National Symphony Orchestra oboist William Wielgus will perform a program of Peruvian classical music for oboe and piano. This concert offers a selection that spans from the Baroque to the 21st Century, including the premiere of the "Peruvian Jazz Suite" by Leonardo Mendoza. Mr Wielgus is actively involved in performing, commissioning and recording works of Peruvian composers and has presented programs of Peruvian music in Lima, Trujillo, Rio de Janeiro, and at the 2016 and 2017 Conferences of the International Double Reed Society." He is accompanied by Peruvian pianist Gonzalo Aguilar.
