PALS New Provider Course (Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital)

This course is designed for individuals who have never held a PALS Provider card or let their PALS Provider card expire. This is a two- day course. The PALS Provider student manual (2016) is available for purchase through the following distributors: WorldPoint ECC Inc. 1-888-322-8350 or Laerdal 1-888-562-4242. There is required pre-work for the PALS New Provider course. You must complete the online Pre-Course/Pre-Assessment questions with a grade of 70% or above. To access the website please go to www.heart.org/eccstudent in your web browser then enter the code, pals15. PRINT YOUR RESULTS WITH GRADE AND BRING TO CLASS ALONG WITH CURRENT BLS Provider card. These 2 items are required for entry into the course. The course concludes with a written exam and skills evaluations. The new 2015 AHA guidelines allow students to refer to materials during the written exam. The course is located in the Lipinski Center for Learning in the basement of the North Building. Please arrive on time as once the course begins students are not allowed in the class and must register for another course.
