The mission of Wolf Haven International is to conserve and protect wolves and their habitat. Since 1982, Wolf Haven International has rescued 250 captive-born, displaced wolves and provided them with lifetime sanctuary. During a fifty-minute guided visit, guests will hear about wolf behavior, the wolf's role in the wild, and histories of some of the rescued wolves living here. Prices: Adult - $12; Senior/Active Military/Student - $10; Youth - $7; children three and under Free. Closed January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Also closed from Feb 15 - March 15 for breeding season. Special events include “A Midsummer's Night” overnight camping, Wolves & Wine, and Wolf Photography Visits. A variety of educational programs are also offered to groups. Wolf Haven's prairie habitat makes it an ideal showcase for partners seeking to restore remnant prairie habitat as well as rare and endangered species. Collaborations between Wolf Haven and groups such as the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, The Center for Natural Lands Management, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have resulted in projects such as the rescue and relocation of the rare Mazama pocket gopher, bluebird nesting sites and mass planting of endangered golden paintbrush plants.
