The Yoga Loft of Alabaster

This full-service yoga studio offers spa-like amenities & flat rate pricing which includes private classes, meditation room, shower, dressing area & more. My name is Cindy Simonetti. I've lived in Alabaster for 25 years, and with the exception of about ten years, I've worked in advertising and corporate communications for almost 30 years. During that 10 year period, I took a break from working in an office, freelancing as a corporate writer at night, devoting my days to my two young boys. Suffering from genetic, chronic back pain, I finally took the advice of my friends, doctors, and PTs and started practicing yoga. I started working on my certification after only a couple of years of practice. As a teacher, I developed a great following, ultimately teaching several classes per week, and feeling great about the impact I was having on the health and well-being of my students. Several years later, I was recruited back into corporate America but always knew I wanted to open my own studio. At first, I was able to keep attending classes sporadically. However, 10-12 hour work days, coupled with kids and their activities took precedent over my practice. Bad idea. After several rough blows (with both my family and health) I recently decided that it was time to make my dream a reality. I am happy to introduce, The Yoga Loft. Until now, Alabaster didn't have a yoga studio. We have gyms that offer yoga classes, but not a yoga studio. The difference is a serene environment for people of all shapes, sizes, and levels of fitness. I have built a community of yogis who help, laugh, and socialize with each other. We are a no judgment zone, and above all, a noncompetitive environment. The Loft has a full bathroom with shower, a great dressing area, and two spaces to hang out with fellow yogi's-one inside, one outside under a covered balcony. While a kitchen does exist in the unit, I don't offer any type of food service, but you will always find complimentary bottled water and cold mint/eucalyptus cloths in the fridge.
