The Pacific ‘Ohana Foundation is a non-profit organization and founded by the elders of the Pacific Rim Basin native people. The main interest of POF is in preserving, protecting and perpetuating the legacy of their ancestors. This responsibility of passing on the rich cultures, history, as well as the genealogies (originally in the oral history form before western influence of the written language introduction and technological advances), is supported by the organization’s members. Unfortunately much of the rich oral history died with the passing of their elders, and is POF’s vision to continue telling stories through films, books, videos, audio recordings, artwork, hand crafts, wooden carvings, and animations.
