Terrace On The Park, an iconic element of New York’s landscape for over a half century, has just completed a comprehensive two-and-a-half-year facilities initiative, encompassing an extensive range of structural upgrades, renovations, and state-of-the-art technical enhancements. The multi-million-dollar improvement program is the largest in the history of this registered landmark, which has served as the city’s most recognizable special events venue for more than two generations. Originally constructed as a restaurant and heliport for the 1964 World’s Fair, Terrace On The Park is a marvel of Modernist design, with its signature T-shaped towers soaring 120 feet about the fairgrounds, now Flushing Meadows Park. In the decades since, this imposing “aerial gateway” to New York has become a treasured part of the city’s skyline – and the lives of its people. From the moment your party arrives at Terrace On The Park, you are welcomed into a world of inviting elegance and sophistication, all carefully tailored to fit your every need. Terrace on the Park offers personalized spaces on four levels, from the Penthouse and Ballrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows affording 360-degree vistas to the intimate garden setting of the Terrace level, along with just-completed suites on the new Promenade level; beyond the views, these distinctive settings are distinguished by their luxe contemporary décor, and by state-of-the-art sound and LED-lighting systems that can be reprogrammed to give every event a unique sense of style. While under the direction of Executive Chef (and Iron Chef Finalist) Jose Cerqueira, an internationally-trained culinary team prides itself on creating specialized wedding menus for every taste and specification, in keeping with the diversity of communities that comprise our Boro, and our city.   Terrace On The Park is operated under long-term concession from the New York City Parks Department to the venue’s co-managing partners George Makkos and Dimitrios Kaloidis, both of whom are active in other dining and hospitality businesses across the New York metropolitan regions.
