County Parks Volunteers play an important role in protecting and enhancing parklands and Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation offers a broad range of opportunities to suit your interests and skills. Whether you’re an individual, retired or in school, or part of a group we have a fun and important activity in a park for you. Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In Fiscal Year 2013, volunteers donated over 72,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.
