RSG strives to improve the grad student experience by providing academic programs, advocacy in relevant policies, volunteer & social events. We welcome and all questions, concerns and especially ideas about how we can advocate for you. The ways you can voice your opinions are: 1) E-mail the RSG executive officers at rsg-exec@umich.edu 2) Leave a post on our facebook page or send us a private message 3) Show up to a board meeting, which is in the 3rd floor Earl Lewis Room of Rackham every other Thursday at 7pm. See the schedule here: https://rsg.umich.edu/calendar 4) Contact your division representative. Figure out who that is here: https://rsg.umich.edu/representatives The University of Michigan Graduate Student Government is comprised of elected students representing all graduate programs affiliated with the Rackham Graduate School, including: Health and Biological Sciences (Division 1), Engineering and Physical Sciences (Division 2), Social Sciences (Division 3), Arts, Humanities, and Education (Division 4). Elected representatives speak on behalf of their constituents to influence University, local and national policies and laws. They are also charged with raising any and all issues their constituents find to be important in an effort to satisfactorily resolve them. This paradigm is contingent upon student participation and feedback about the graduate environment at the University of Michigan. In addition to matters of policy, Rackham Student Government provides opportunities for graduate students to connect with the community at large in the form of volunteer opportunities, local government forums, and social events
