The Gourmet Ghetto of North Berkeley is the birthplace of California cuisine with Chez Panisse, the original Peet's Coffee, and the Cheeseboard, and much more! The Gourmet Ghetto Facebook page and website are a project of the North Shattuck Association, the business and property owner organization dedicated to promoting commerce, arts and culture in our North Berkeley neighborhood.
