On March 6, 2005 a group of believers met to pray and clarify a vision for planting a new church in Bangor. By the end of that evening, New Hope Church had begun to take shape. From the beginning, the launch team was committed to planting a church that would sensitively seek to meet the needs of the Bangor community in ways that would be relevant to those who live in the region, while holding firmly to the deep truths that are found in the Scriptures. With the help of Christian Reformed Home Missions, we have been able to launch a church that exists to make more and fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Worship services began in the summer of 2005 and were held in various locations. In April 2006 we relocated to our current home at Penobscot Christian School. Come grow with us as we discover God's purpose for our lives and for the life of this church.
