My REFUGE

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to help children and families of Washington county, Oklahoma. My REFUGE meets each Tuesday and Friday night (6pm-8pm) for children and teens, ages 5 to 18 at West Oak Baptist Church, Bartlesville, OK. 30 minutes of worship, 30 minutes for meal time, and 1 hour of Bible teaching and fun activity. Children and teens, ages 5-18 from Bartlesville's West side, Oak Park and Dewey are picked up by our buses and vans and brought to West Oak Baptist Church, Bartlesville, OK. My REFUGE is run by volunteers, under the supervision of our Director, Ken Peace. All our volunteers, whether teachers, worship team members, van drivers or those that provide our weekly meals, are servants, eager to serve the needs of our kids. Meals are donated, prepared and served by volunteers including, church/Sunday school groups or other organizations in our area that desire to serve the needs of our kids. Mentoring groups: Tuesday Night Men's Club: This mentoring group for boys ages 9 to 18 is a more focused ministry, aimed at teaching these young men the principles for living Godly lives. Friday Girls' Night Out: Staffed by mature, Godly volunteers, Friday’s Girls’ Night Out, gives girls from 1st to 12th grades, a “safe place” to go on Friday evenings.
