We believe that Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is a place where people encounter and experience the goodness and love of God. Encountering God can occur in many ways, such as through worship, the preaced Word, or even a member of the church who makes you feel welcomed and important when you walk through our doors. Sinai Baptist Church, but utimately what keeps you here should be the knowledge that the Lord has changed your life and seeks to stay involved in your life. Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is to be a safe haven. It is to be a place where you can exhale and allow the Lord to minister to your needs, hurts, and fears. We expect that this pace of encountering God allows Him to exchange your ashes for His beauty, which in turn, strengt hens and equips you to impact your family, community and the world for the Kingdom. Our Mission MT. SINAI BAPTIST CHURCH OFFERS FAMILIES A CHRIST-CENTERED, BIBILCALLY-BASED MINISTRY THAT IS EDUCATIONAL, EVANGELICAL, INSPIRATIONAL, AND COMBATIVE OF NEGATIVE AND DEMONIC FORCES IN OUR COMMUNITY. Christ-centered- The center and purpose for all that we do here at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is Christ. Christ is our center. Christ is our focal point. We believe that every decision we make and every direction we take must onor Christ and point people to Him, for "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) Biblically-based- We believe the Bible is the infallible word of God. We understand it to be inspired by God, who used its writers to reveal Himself, and His thoughts, intents and plans to an for humanity. We believe that it should always be our primary source of guidance, instruction, comfort, encouragment and correction. (2 Timothy 3:16) Educational- We believe that Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is a teaching institution that equips the body of Christ to do the work of the ministry. (Ephesians 4:12) Evangelical- We believe that our primary purpose is to glorify God, and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with people who are in a state of eteranal separation from God. We have accepted the mandate from Jesus to, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you..." (Matthew 28:19-20) Inspirational- We believe that Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is to inspire people to draw closer into a warm and loving relationship with the Lord, and with their brothers and sisters in Christ. Springing from this relationship is a believer who desires to seek and do the will of God. (Ephesians 2:14-17) Combative of negative and demonic forces in our community- We believe that through outreach and prayer. Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is to impact the forces in our community designed to lure people further aways from the Lord. As we continue to have an increasing presence in our community, we combat these forces through our proclaiming the truth and being examples of truth. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
