Mountain-Pacific Quality Health

We partner with providers, practitioners, stakeholders and patients and their families to help ensure the best health care for every patient. Mountain-Pacific Quality Health is dedicated to improving the quality of health care and assuring the most appropriate use of health care services. Mountain-Pacific is a physician-sponsored organization that supports the patients and families, providers and health care communities of Montana, Wyoming, Hawaii and Alaska and the U.S. Pacific Territories of Guam and American Samoa and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Part of what we do revolves around our work under the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As a Medicare Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO), we support providers, practitioners, patients and other stakeholders to achieve better care and better population health and to support smarter spending of lower health care dollars through quality improvement. Mountain-Pacific also provides medical utilization review and management services for the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. Through our review process, we help each Medicaid client to get his or her needs met in the most appropriate, cost-effective setting, using the most appropriate medical service, equipment and sup¬plies. Finally, Health Technology Services (HTS), a department of Mountain-Pacific, offers technical assistance, guidance and information on best practices to support and accelerate health care providers’ efforts to become meaningful users of electronic health records (EHRs).
