Hunter Hayes calls Jimmy an "unbelievable talent with an awesome musical brilliant confidence". Visit Jimmy's Website: www.JimmyConnor.com This is one country artist you will want to follow! Jimmy Connor is a “breakout artist”, to quote NECM and a “rising star”, to quote Boston’s best country venue, Loretta’s Last Call. His energy is infectious and he brings that energy to shows throughout the United States. Jimmy found his passion at age five when he picked up his first guitar. When he was pulled up on stage to sing with country music phenomenon, Hunter Hayes, in front of 8,000 people at the age of 14, he knew this was what he was meant to do. Now a long-term mentor for Jimmy, Hunter calls Jimmy an “unbelievable talent” with an “awesome musical brilliant confidence”. Jimmy’s talent has been recognized through many Country Music Awards, including the 2016 Instrumentalist of the Year and 2016 Entertainer of the Year by NA Country Music Association, Int’l in Tennessee. The New England Country Music Organization named Jimmy the 2016 Songwriter of the Year for his Debut Single “Callin’ It” and the Jimmy Connor Band was named the 2016 Country Band of the Year! In addition to acoustic/electric guitar, Jimmy also plays resonator, bass, mandolin, banjo, cajon, and a bit of piano and drums. He hasn’t met an instrument he doesn’t like! Music influences for Jimmy include Hunter Hayes, Sean McConnell, Chase Bryant, Phil Vassar, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Dan + Shay, Brandy Clark and more. In addition to playing his own shows at venues throughout the U.S., Jimmy has opened for many national Country artists including Darius Rucker, Dan + Shay, Chase Bryant, Michael Ray, Love + Theft, The Cadillac Three, and Granger Smith. He is scheduled to open for Frankie Ballard at the New England Country Music Festival in Portsmouth, NH in August of 2017. Last summer, Jimmy performed with Hunter Hayes during two New England tour stops. In an interview with Country 102.5, Jimmy credits Hunter Hayes for being the young artist who helped him realize that his dream can become reality. Traveling back and forth between New England and Nashville, playing shows, recording, writing, meeting with publishers, record labels, and other artists and musicians fills Jimmy’s time. If he does have down time, you’ll find him in his studio, “makin’ noise”. Jimmy’s music has been featured on many country radio stations and programs, including Country 102.5 Catch of the Week and 101.7 The Bull’s Backyard Country. You can download or stream Jimmy’s music on iTunes, Spotify, and most other music outlets.
