The Jean Benson Child Development Center is a part of the Family YMCA of the Desert's Early Childhood Education Program. Located in the Desert Rose housing complex, in Palm Desert, Ca we offer free or low cost child care to children ages 2-5 years. Address 75-433 Orange Blossom Lane Palm Desert, CA 92260 Phone: 760-836-3336 FAX: 760-836-0096 YMCA Jean Benson Child Development Center offers FOUR programs for children between 3 to 5 years of age to meet the needs of families. -Early childhood education preschool program – 2 to 5 years of age -State preschool program – 3 to 5 years of age – Low Cost/No Cost - The State Preschool (SPS) consists of, One-three hour session from 9:00am-12:00pm. These sessions are funded through the State of California based on family size and income. -Wrap – Around Program – 3 to 5 years of age - Extended preschool is offered though our wrap-around program in which children are served before and after the SPS program. -Before and after K Program – Program serves Lincoln and Washington Charter Elementary Schools. The children are transported to and from school in our YMCA vehicle. The YMCA provides before and after school care and all day care for the children when schools are closed for holidays and summer. Care is available two, three and five days a week.
