IMAA provides culturally and linguistically appropriate support services that foster the well-being and independence of refugees and immigrants in their new home. These services span the spectrum of need and range from employment to interpreting; health care access to vocational training; social services to victim services. IMAA’s budget is funded through a combination of public grants, private grants, service fees and individual contributions. IMAA is also a funded partner of the United Way of Olmsted County. The leadership at IMAA is committed to reflecting and responding to changes in the demographics of arriving refugees and immigrants, deliberately maintaining a multi-ethnic approach to service delivery. The majority of IMAA’s staff and board members are multilingual first generation immigrants and refugees committed to delivering upon the mission of IMAA each and every day.
