HOPE is a non-profit, free, public charter school of the Douglas County School District. HOPE's Learning Center is dedicated to student success by offering: Rigorous Academics • Attend a community-based Learning Center five days a week for the full school day. • Award-winning technology-based curriculum that exceeds state standards. • Rotate between individualized online lessons and face-to-face classroom instruction. • Low student-teacher ratios. • Support for English Language Learners. • Free full-day kindergarten. Character Development • School-sponsored activities from competitive and recreational sports to the arts, music, dance, a science fair, prom, field day and more. • Daily physical education activities. • Counseling for behavior and mental health, if needed. College and Career Readiness • Work Study Credit Program, Health Career Electives. • College Fair, College in Colorado participant. • HOPE graduates attend colleges such as University of Denver, University of Northern Colorado, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado Boulder and Aims Community College. Family Support • Free lunch program. (Free breakfast, too!) • Community-supported clothing and school supply “bank” for all students and families. • Classes for parents.
