Each One Teach One, Money Matters For Youth, BUF of Michigan, Franklin-Wright Settlements, Inc., and Detroit PAL

Each One Teach One is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, have access and exposure to resources and experiences that will enable their future success.  Now in it’s fourth year, our signature event, The Annual Prep for Success Symposium provides middle school and high school students and their families with enrichment experiences and educational resources for completing high school, preparing for thriving in college, and beyond.  Michigan Department of Education 2017-18 data (www.mischooldata.org) shows that less than half of our Detroit area high school students meet college readiness benchmarks (Macomb – 32.9%; Oakland – 45.1%; Wayne – 29.6%).  Through Prep for Success, we aim to give families, especially those in underserved populations, information and guidance to improve these outcomes.   Recognizing the many factors that influence a child’s future, the symposium not only addresses academic topics, but also topics of social and emotional health, self-discipline, physical health and wellness.
