DSU Aquaculture

We conduct applied aquacultue research, mentor students and provide technical assistance to current and prospective aquaculture producers in Delaware. To implement our Program we: 1. Conduct applied research to investigate the suitability of aquaculture species and techniques for use in Delaware and the mid-Atlantic region. 2. Disseminate information to potential and existing producers, educators and other interested parties about aquaculture species and technologies through workshops, one-on-one farm visits and fact sheets. 3. Demonstrate aquaculture techniques and methods at the Delaware State University Aquaculture Research and Demonstration Facility. Delaware State University has an active aquaculture research program, and a Technical Assistance and Outreach Program through DSU cooperative extension. Currently we do not offer academic degree programs specifically in aquaculture. Administratively we are a part of the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources within the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences.
