Working closely with community-based arts organizations, service clubs, municipal governments, schools and social agencies, the DCA: Provides volunteer, educational and professional development opportunities Supports the wide-range of cultural activities Downriver Assists in the development and implementation of arts programming Works collaboratively with local schools and agencies to insure equal access and opportunities Promotes the recognition of art and culture as a primary contributor to economic development and the quality of life Offers employment opportunities to artists/educators Salutes outstanding corporate and individual contributions to the arts This activity is supported by the MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS and the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS.
