Capoeira Brasil Cincinnati
Oakley Community Center, 3882 Paxton Ave., Cincinnati, 45209, OH, United States
A local chapter of the worldwide organization Grupo Capoeira Brasil; CBCIN is dedicated to the martial art, music, history, and culture of Capoeira. Capoeira Brasil Cincinnati is led by Mestre Trapo, Brazilian born master of the art from Rio de Janeiro. He has 25+ years of experience teaching capoeira. He is committed to building a strong presence for Capoeira and Brazilian culture in Ohio. CBCIN is under Grupo Capoeria Brasil, an international organization that practices, teaches, and demonstrates the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. Our classes start with stretching and warming up. Then for the next 30 minutes work on the basic movements, kicks and dodges which we build upon very class. Typically towards the end we work on some acrobatics and play and learn music. The cool thing about Capoeira is that it incorporates both the physical martial art with history, culture, and musical arts. So by training you will get in shape, get more flexible but also learn about brazilian culture and learn to speak Portuguese and play instruments. Capoeira attracts people from all backgrounds and all walks of life; our classes are always open to everyone of every experience level. Capoeira is an incredible workout and an incredible amount of fun! First class is free - come play Capoeira with us!
