Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana - NELA Chapter 6

Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a national 501c3 non profit org. made up of mothers, mostly, of active duty and honorably discharged military. Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a national non-profit organization. We are made up of mothers of active duty and honorably discharged military service persons. Our local chapter is comprised of area families supporting each other as well as our troops and veterans. We are a 501c3 non profit organization recognized by Louisiana and all over the nation. We are Dept. of Defense recognized and Congressionally chartered. We welcome everyone who support our troops. We are open to all mothers and branches of the military. We welcome dads and family members to our meetings as well. We are a support group for our troops and each other. We promote Patriotism when and where we can, within our community and around the country. It is our goal to tend to our Past Veterans, giving them the honor and respect that they deserve. We care for our Gold Stars Mothers in our area, assuring them that their precious fallen hero will never be forgotten by our community. And we support each other, in the good times, lonely times, and hard times of military life that our children have set before us. We educate the new military mothers and wives in the dos and don'ts, and have formed a close relationship with the other veteran organizations in our community.
