Blessed Be Educators is a faith-based ecumenical, non-partisan organization whose purpose is to uplift teaching as a Christian Ministry. Our Program Blessed be Educators sponsors a series of faith-based activities during the school-year in support of our mission, in which Pastors and their congregations participate at their discretion. Blessed Be Educators is a faith-based, ecumenical, non-partisan organization under the fiscal sponsorship of Warriors of Holiness in Power (WHIP) Ministries, Pastor Denise A. Samuel, Executive Director. Funding for Blessed Be Educators is provided, in part, by a grant from the Irene C. Shea Charitable Foundation, congregations, individual donors and fundraisers. Fall 2017 Educators Forum is supported by Carlow University College of Learning and Innovation, Department of Education. BBE: *Seeks to uplift teaching as a Christian ministry, to recognize teachers for their spiritual gifts and their ministry with children. *Extends opportunities for prayer support and group activities in recognition of all current and retired teachers: early childhood, elementary, secondary, university, after-school, or religious educators. *Provides opportunities for congregations to recognize and value the gifts of all educators. Membership includes access to all of our events and activities, including: Prayer Walk for Schools Participants walk or drive to local schools to offer prayer outside for a successful school year. Participants unable to walk may gather at their church to offer group prayers. Pastors schedule a time convenient for their church. Member churches will receive additional information. Educator Forums Educators gather for professional development within a Christian framework. Each forum includes a continental breakfast, prayer and a speaker with time for discussion. Registration is just $5.00. The Fall 2017 Forum features Dr. Randall Hoedeman of the Pittsburgh Pastoral Institute and will be held Saturday, September 23 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish Banquet Hall in Homestead. The Winter 2018 forum will be held Saturday, February 24, speaker to be announced. Educator Prayer Breakfast In celebration of World Teachers’ Day, held annually in October, educators gather for prayer, fellowship and to share a meal. The 2017 Prayer Breakfast will be held Saturday, October 21. Reservations are required and a free-will offering will be taken. Member churches will receive additional information. Virtual Storage Room Blessed Be Educators maintains a listing of surplus materials and supplies donated by vendors, which are made available to meet the needs of educators from member churches. Volunteers in Schools Blessed Be Educators encourages and fosters volunteerism by church members in their local schools, and works with school administrators to connect volunteers to local opportunities. Blue Sunday National Day of Prayer for Abused & Neglected Children Blessed Be Educators provides congregations with sample prayers for worship and up-to-date prevention resources for distribution. In 2018, Blue Sunday will be held Sunday, April 29.
