Andy's Candies & Confections

I am a registered "Cottage Food Producer" through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture for candy, fudge, and other baked goods. As many of my friends and family members already know, I have always enjoyed making fudge, candy, cookies, and pies every year for the Christmas holidays. After so many years of loved ones and friends telling me that I should try selling my confections, I finally listened to them so here I am, opening my own candy and confections business. I plan to focus on fudge, truffles, chocolates, and cookies at first and then add items to my "menu" as I develop recipes and perfect techniques for other items. I am licensed and registered as a Cottage Food Producer through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture so I can legally sell certain foods that I produce in my home kitchen. To obtain my Cottage Food License, I took the required class so that I would know all the rules and regulations to follow so that I could safely produce and sell food products to the general public without the need of a commercial kitchen. On a related note, I am also a Prometric certified Commercial Food Manager (class and tests through the Minnesota Department of Health) and have had several years of restaurant experience.
