Pacheco's Aprons at Mana: Kids’ Art Classes

Professional artist and educator, Gabriel Pacheco, leads gallery visits and artmaking sessions through this weekly art class. During the class, students gain inspiration from the galleries, studios, and hallways of Mana Contemporary. Through vocabulary exercises, critiques, and a wide range of artmaking techniques, children learn to express themselves both visually and verbally.

Gabriel Pacheco established Pacheco’s Aprons in 2012. The Jersey City-based children’s art program provides kids with the opportunity to explore different art mediums and cultures. Pacheco has received an award from Jersey City in recognition of his efforts. He is an artist and educator who works for the New York Board of Education and Archdiocese of New York, and for independent organizations including Rush Arts Gallery and Caribbean Culture Center African Diaspora Institute.
