Overview of the Special Education Process
This training covers the basics of special education: key definitions, an overview of special education law, the steps in the special education process, components of an IEP, and the rights of the parent/guardian. This training equips providers to support families in the special education process, both through initiating the process and understanding each step along the way.
Additional Details: Training is offered in collaboration with The Community Partnership (TCP). While this training does not count toward CEUs, providers who attend will receive a certificate for 2 hours of OSSE Professional Development Credit. Attendees who arrive late into the training will not receive full credit. Parking is available on site.
