SPEAKER

Florence Lowe is Chief Operating Officer of Synerzip, a software development firm working with VC/PE funded software product companies. She has a deep interest in technology and data; and has also worked on bootstrapped startups in Dallas, one of which, InsiderEdge, developed an SEC filing research platform. Before turning to startups and high growth companies, Florence worked in financial leadership positions at private equity firms Hudson Advisors, Capital One, AlixPartners, and American Airlines.

George Santillan is a distinguished software engineering leader with over 20 years of experience leading Software as a Service (SaaS) companies in Texas. George started his career as a petroleum engineer but fell in love with software development working as a consultant for EY and CSC (now HP). From there he moved to SaaS companies, building multi-tenant solutions. George began utilizing outsourcing partners in India, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. With near and far shore teams combined with on-shore teams in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, George has been part of seven successful corporate acquisitions and several private equity-backed ventures. 

Patricia Connolly, PhD, draws on three decades of executive, technology and academic leadership to create and implement SMC Squared’s strategy, vision and mission. Her experience building and leading high-performing IT teams, leveraging global talent, and mitigating corporate risk enables her to keenly understand the unique challenges faced by organizations today and to develop solutions that provide immediate results, long-term flexibility, and innovation.

Mark Haney, CTO of Alkami Technology, has over 20 years of experience in software development and information technology space.  Mr. Haney's background includes a diverse set of experience relevant to our discussion:  managing offshore teams as a vendor;  purchasing offshore services as a CTO;  and running dedicated US development teams with no offshore presence.  Prior to Alkami, Mr. Haney was Chief Technology Officer at ExamSoft, a highly successful Education Technology startup.  Further, Mr. Haney has demonstrated success in large-scale global organizations in a range of industries, including Trilogy, Lockheed Martin, Ford Motor Company, Toyota and Nokia.
