Opioid Research Networking Event

On Thursday, June 21, 5pm to 8pm at the Vue Rooftop, the University of Iowa's Research Development Office will host an evening of informal conversation for researchers and community members where attendees can share and discuss various perspectives of the opioid crisis. The goal of this Opioid Research Networking Event is to bring together individuals from a range of backgrounds to discuss new and novel solutions that may be applied to the nation’s opioid epidemic.

This event is a follow up to the Opioid Ideas Lab, which brought together 30 researchers from a wide range of disciplines.

Please join us for the entire event or as your schedule allows. The agenda for the evening is:

• 5pm-6pm: Reception
• 6pm-7pm: Small group discussions on topics such as rural communities, sociodemographic factors, prevention, and mechanisms of addiction
• 7pm-7:30pm: Discussion groups report
• 7:30pm-8pm: Networking

Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar is available.
