This exhibition is the last in a series of events which began with a speaking engagement with Matthew Desmond, author of the Pulitzer-winning "Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City". Mr. Desmond's ethnographic study of eight Milwaukee families struggling to keep a roof over their heads. Those profiled have very different feelings about what makes a place home. Some of those feelings are positive, such as a favorite piece of furniture, but some are sad memories and frustration with the seemingly inescapable cycle of poverty.
