This is a welcoming space to practice public speaking, and build your leadership skills. We will be in the Auditorium which is in the main entryway into the Runnels building.
What to expect:
We will begin the meeting by spending a few minutes filling meeting roles, then the president will start the meeting. We typically have 2-3 speakers, and then a table topics (Q and A) where members can practice their impromptu speaking. The 2-3 speakers will the receive feedback and tips for improving during the evaluation portion of the meeting. The intent of an evaluation is to lift the speaker up with constructive feedback. It s also a great opportunity to practice giving effective and kind feedback. Following the Toastmasters tradition, also have an informal contest for best weekly speaker, evaluator, and table topics speaker.
What to bring:
The most important part of a Toastmasters meeting is SHOWING UP! Bring your ENTHUSIASM, a pen, a notebook if you wish, and a friend if you like! Guests are welcome with no obligation. Bring you friends, family and neighbors, everyone is an intricate part of these meetings!
