Office of Human Rights: Region 4 Fast-Track Regulation and Restrictions Training

Governor Northam approved the Fast Track Regulatory action amending the definition of Independent Review Committee, adding language in subsections B and C of 12VAC35-115-105 to include Licensed Behavior Analysts, and limiting Independent Review Committee (IRC) review of behavioral treatment plans (BTPs) to only those involving the use of restraint or timeout. These changes will be effective November 1, 2018.

Part 1 of this training will focus on current regulations regarding restrictions noted in 12VAC35-115- 50 (Dignity), 12VAC35-115-100 (Restrictions on Freedoms of Everyday Life), 12VAC35-115-105 (Behavioral Treatment Plans), and 12VAC35-115-110 (Use of Seclusion, Restraint, and Time Out). Part 2 of this training will focus on the Fast Track Regulatory Action amendments to subsections B and C of 12VAC35-115-105. Participants should expect a review of these regulatory expectations, as well as key definitions pertinent to compliance in these areas.

As space is limited, only 2 seats per provider are available for each training. This training is OPTIONAL. Attendance is NOT required.
