OAPA EPG 2018 Mentorship Program Closing Event

How time flies-- it's time for our final event of the 2018 OAPA Mentorship Program! 

For the OAPA mentorship end-of-program event, we’re excited to host a tour of the emerging Portland Innovation Quadrant in partnership with Portland State University and First Stop Portland. The Portland IQ formed when several of Portland's anchor institutions including PCC, PSU, OMSI, PPS and OHSU recognized that shared goals, overlapping constituencies, close proximity, increasing community investment, and complementary real-estate development projects presented a rare opportunity for collaboration. The Portland IQ represents a unique, collaborative opportunity for educational institutions, entrepreneurs, incubators, students and industry — large and small — to jointly influence, advise, and build an innovation ecosystem that creates a better future for each and every one of us, with intention.

Beginning at the PSU Urban Plaza, the tour will showcase the South Waterfront, which is blossoming as a hotbed for life science, medical device, and digital health startups, and the Central Eastside, which is quickly emerging as a hub for collaborative tech innovation. We’ll take the aerial tram to get a birds-eye view of the entire Portland IQ from Marquam Hill, hear about EcoDistricts' role in developing an equitable, inclusive, climate resilient IQ strategy, tour the LEED Platinum Collaborative Life Sciences Building, and ride the streetcar to the new Autodesk office + Portland Innovation Experiment hub (the IQ’s headquarters) at the renovated Towne Storage Building.
